Red Oak Community,
I am so pleased to be a part of this community for the 2025-26 school year! We have got some pretty great things happening at Red Oak Elementary and in our community. I am looking forward to building a school culture that embraces all students and families.
I have been a principal for 9 years now and elementary students are my passion. I am excited to be at Red Oak Elementary because this is home for me. I grew up in Red Oak, we attend church in Red Oak and my own son is in fourth grade at Red Oak Elementary. I am invested in making this a great place to work, live, and thrive!
We are excited to continue to grow and foster a school community where all students are celebrated. My desire is to see your child fall in love with learning while also becoming confident in who they are as a student. Please help me make this school year great!

Red Oak Elementary Families,
I am delighted to be your Assistant Principal for the 2025-2026 school year! Born and raised in Greenville, NC I matriculated through Pitt County Schools. Upon graduating from J.H. Rose High School, I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I spent over 20 years as an Educator with Pitt County Schools. I began my career as a Fifth-grade teacher in 1994 and in 2008 I became a NC Principal Fellow and earned my Masters Degree in School Administration from East Carolina University in 2010. I have served as an Assistant Principal for 12 years in K-5, K-8 and two High Schools prior to joining the Red Oak Elementary School Family and Nash County Schools in 2023, as we opened the brand new ROE, integrating staff and students from Swift Creek and Cedar Grove Elementary Schools.
I have a wonderful husband of 34 years and two beautiful adult daughters, two adorable grandsons and a loving son-in-law.
I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of the Red Oak Community and looking forward to making this a phenomenal year!

I am excited to serve you as the Assistant Principal Resident at Red Oak Elementary school for the 2025-2026 school year. I am currently in the North Carolina State University Principal Preparation Program where I am a proud NELA Fellow.
I have spent the past eight years teaching middle grades social studies and have held key leadership roles including Grade Level Chair, Professional Development Chair, School Improvement Team Chair, and mentor to beginning teachers. I also served on the district’s middle grades curriculum writing team. I was recently honored as the 2024 – 2025 Teacher of the Year at Southern Nash Middle School.
Outside of school, I enjoy music, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I am passionate about creating school cultures where students and teachers can thrive together. I am looking forward to a phenomenal year together!
