NCPS Announces 'Best of the Best' Art Exhibit Dec. 2 in Rocky Mount

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – Nash County Public Schools (NCPS) is proud to present the "Best of the Best" Art Exhibit, showcasing exceptional student artwork from four traditional high schools in the district. This exhibition, part of the student's curriculum, allows them to display their finest two-dimensional and three-dimensional works. Each piece includes an artist statement detailing the medium used, offering a glimpse into the student's creative processes.

This semi-annual event, held in both spring and fall, is an opportunity for high school teachers to highlight the most outstanding works of their students. The exhibit gives these young artists valuable exposure and a platform to engage with an audience appreciative of their talents.

The current exhibition has been displayed throughout November, culminating in a special reception.

We invite the public to join us on Saturday, December 2, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bel-Air Art Center at 115 South Church Street in Rocky Mount, N.C., for this reception.

This reception is a unique opportunity to meet the young artists and experience their work firsthand.

Wendy Hinson, the AIG/Fine Arts Coordinator for Nash County Public Schools, emphasizes the importance of this event: "The 'Best of the Best' Art Exhibit is more than just a display of talent. It's a testament to our students' hard work, creativity, and dedication. This event is a highlight of our academic year and a proud moment for the entire community."
